Dole Middle School Celebrates College Week

Dole Middle School students are getting pumped up for college! This month, the school celebrated “College Week”, which included a series of activities that promoted the college-going message. From a morning sign waving campaign to a student pep rally, over 800 students cheered their enthusiasm for college.

“I say 55, you say 25, 55, 25, 55, 25. Who’s going to college? We are! We are! Who’s getting a college degree? We are! We are! Cause we are awesome!”

These efforts were spearheaded by the schoolʻs AVID students who designed posters, waved signs and led cheers to help create a college-going atmosphere on campus. Support was further shown by the faculty as teachers wore college tshirts and shared their advice about what a college degree means to them. The week culminated with a pledge event where over 200 students pledged to earn a college degree!
