Nānākuli Intermediate Jumps on the 55 by ’25 Pledge Wagon
Over 300 middle school students and faculty at Nānākuli Intermediate & High School showed their support for 55 by ’25 in their first-ever college pledge day. With the support of faculty and administrators, 35 students from the school’s AVID program, a college readiness program that provides academic and social support for students, successfully organized the event during their study hall period. Entertainment was provided by Da Bomb 102.7 “DJ Steezy”, a Nānākuli Intermediate & High School alumnus. After School All Stars provided games and activities during the event. All middle school students were encouraged to pledge and sign a banner in support of their commitment to go to college.
This was the first middle school to take on the 55 by ’25 campaign project and one of the largest groups of students to spearhead such an effort. Congratulations to the entire team of students, faculty and administrators at Nānākuli Intermediate & High School for showing their support and promoting a college-going atmosphere on their campus.
